I noticed the bottom of my fold out entrance handle was loose. Since it wasn't a simple "tighten the screws up" type of fix (top screw seems to be stripped out), I took it off altogether to investigate. Didn't reveal much, just the outside wall. It looks like the two screws on the bottom where just stuck in the wall and if they hit something substantial, great! If not, oh well. So my question is, has anyone had to re-secure one of these handles. Any idea what is behind that wall? I would assume there is an aluminum stud there someplace. It's currently snug against the door trim (which is where I assume the stud is). Do I just get some wall anchors or try to find a stud in there somewhere?

I would try and find a stud if possible. You should be able to use a normal stud sensor. I am not sure a wall anchor would be strong enough for the long term.

Hey Not sure about this one. Stud by door frame makes sense. Wall anchor? Not sure. Others will advise or don't hesitate to contact crossroads.
