We have a seasonal lot and now that my kids are getting older I am forward thinking to a new fiver. I have had my Crossroads Cruiser for five years and this has been a great unit. I have been looking at the Cruiser Model 335SS as a possible replacement for my current unit. I am just looking at ideas for the future. My wife likes the kitchens in these units (island style). Any advice one could give on these model would be great.

We purchased a 335SS in May and have enjoyed it over the summer. It has a great floor plan. Just some notes for you if you purchase one. We negotiated with the dealer to have him convert the coat closet by the front door into a food pantry, a much better use for the space. Be sure and have a Fantastic fan in the bedroom also. We purchased a small towel ring next to the bathroom sink and a toilet paper dispenser as well as a small swivel mirror by the bedroom doorway so my wife can do her hair! The bathroom faucet is really cheap and the spout is so close to the sink you can hardly get under it to wash your face. We replaced it with a nice Moen and it is 100% better. Next, we are looking to change out the shower head. Also, we feel the mattress is low quality. I wish we had kept the mattress in our Alfa, so much better. These few improvements make this unit even better!

This is a great floor plan...keep an eye on the website as there will be some new goodies added to the cruiser line first part of september....at least that is what we were told at the rally. This is the same unit we are looking to hopefully upgrade to in the future.

We like ours. Great layout for the two of us. Only problem has been with the bed slide operation. Worked fine on out last outing after the repairs to the wiring.

The CF335 has a great floor plan, light weight, tows easily and is very "livable". We have spent up to 4 months at a time traveling with it and thoroughly enjoy the unit. Unfortunately for us, ours must have been built on one of the factory's "off-days" as we have had a host of problems with it. Good thing isCrossroads has approved every repair and covered 100% of the cost, but it's frustrating to have to take it back to the dealer almost every time we use it for any length of time. Knowing that all campers will have problems and some more than others, we would probably buy it again because of the layout and CR service.

That is like our 2012 330SS except for the rear cap. My wife loves the island and we like the entertainment center. We spend 5 to 6 months a year in it on the road and at our place in the country.

I echo all of the above replies - We have had ours since October 2011 - Great layout for two - - spent a month in it in Florida and compared to our former 30 ft TT It was a godsend. Every towable - went back and forth to Florida with a 6 L gas Chev 2500 - no issues at all. Note that I tow with very little water on board - just enough to use the toilet and wash hands, food etc.

We had a 2009 denali and traded for 335ss this last May. We are very pleased with it and like the floorplan for the two of us. We added the second A/C and slide toppers. Glad we did as the one A/C was not enough for summer camping.

We too have had lots of small problems and when we are not useing it it is at the repair shop but CR has been good about covering all the cost.

We do reccomend it.

Love the floor plan on our 2012. Our 2006 GMC 2500 HD Duramax hardly even knows that this unit is behind it. Our mileage is almost as good as our old Fleetwood 27 footer. Now if we could only get by all the visits to the shop! So far Crossroads has been good. Sure glad we have the old warranty! Think we will add slide toppers this year.

We picked that as our favorite at the last 3 Hershey Rv shows. We finally bought it and hopefully will pick it up this week.
When we got to the show and told the sales rep we were looking for a new 5th wheel he said "let me show you one I think you'll like". We never mentioned the cf335ss to him. Turned out he took us to the CR cf335ss.
Can't wait to finally pick it up. We need it go to Baltimore, our daughter is expecting her first baby and our first grandchild withing 2 weeks. Already got plans to take him (it's a boy) camping next year.

Congrats Mark-
We also purchased the 335SS at the Hershey Pa show. We feel in love with the layout as soon as we stepped in. We are supposed to picking ours up this coming weekend back at Hershey. We are upgrading from an '06 Cruiser 30RL trailer trailer, which never gave us a problem.
We went with another couple who bought a rig at the show and luckily for them they fell within the 2 year warranty. Unfortunately ours falls in the 1 year. Hopefully all the quality control issues I have reading about have been sorted out.

I posted this on another CR post but for
<h1>Future Thinking of New Fiver 335SS here goes:</h1>

Picked up the Patriot 335ss 10-25-12 right when the forum went down. But here's the facts jack.
Loaded 5th, included 50 gallons of water:
CAT scale results: Steer axel 3950
Drive axel 4710
Trailer axel 7810
Gross weight 16470

That included full tank of gas, myself, my wife,
Chloe our 13 lb Westie and a stocked trailer.

Towed like a charm, often had to look in rear-view mirror to see that it was there.
No
sway, shimmy, bounce or vibration. On the 77 mile return trip home the
truck averaged 9.8 mpg.(42 miles of I 81/78 and 35 miles of hilly state
road. Only had about 1000 miles on new truck.
Rear of truck dropped about 1". Still do not have the airbag on truck, and headlights were not blinding oncoming traffic.
At a intersection close to home the twin turbo's spun the rear tires from a dead stop and surprised me a little bit.
Have
it winterized and unfortunately will not be using it until next
spring. The east coast storm changed our mind about camping last week.
By
the way, I don't know if I have the 2 year warranty or the new
warranty. Dealer is still trying to get an answer from Crossroads.

Mark -- Tom Montague posted in the WARRANTY BOO HISS thread that if your coach was built before 9/1/2012 you whould still have the old warranty. My unit was built 8/22/2012 Look on the side of the camper, should have a sticker with the build date

What is your tow vehicle?
Have not put ours on the CAT scales yet - out truck weight is about 7800 lbs with no passengers.

The trailer axle weight gives you some margin - the axles are rated at 5200lbs.

Amazing - F150 towing the 335SS. Air bags will help - level out the truck and improve the ride.

This is what you would need if you go to airlift
http://www.suspensionconnection.com/cgi-bin/suscon/59568-f150-air-springs.html

I would not be without them. Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 air bags on our truck. I purchased mine from</span>http://www.suspensionconnection.com/ - free shipping and a good price.</span>
</span>
I carry a pancake style air compressor in our fifth wheel - use for the truck and trailer tires too. Did not want to bother with an on-board compressor. Let the air our of the bags when I arrive at our destination and air them up again after we hitch up.</span>
