After returning from a 3 week road trip to Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado we discovered that our Kitchen slide Facia was loose and the ceiling showed a significant indent directly above it when the slide was in on our 2013 Crusiser 335SS. We took it in to the dealer to perform a Warranty repair. Well, the dealer informed us that the damage to the ceiling was not covered by the warranty because we had driven on gravel roads.

We were dumbfounded since we have never driven on any gravel road with our 5th wheel. They stated that this was the only way this kind of damage could have occurred. We are confused as to what good is the Warranty especially when they can surmise how damage occurred from a phantom gravel road. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

Tim, your dealer is full of crap. That is an assumption on their part probably to try and get out of doing the warranty work. Contact Crossroads customer service and tell them what your dealer said.

That is ludicrous! I would contact CR directly and not go by what the dealer said. You'll find out if CR is really serious about the "new and improved warranty".

!00% agree with Keith (Hunter11), contact CR directly. Besides did you ask the dealer to show you a written disclaimer that Crossroad's RVs cannot be driven on gravel roads? What a lame story.

what if you have a gravel driveway??? Many parks around here have gravel roads too. thats a pretty lame condition on the warranty. I'd follow up with CR too.

X4 on contacting CrossRoads RV - I contact them before I contact the dealer - prefer to deal with warranty issues directly with CrossRoads RV and then the RV dealer. I always send the CrossRoads rep pictures so they know what the issue is and usually have a solution to deal with the problem/issue.

I don't get it fixed any faster but I get the communications going sooner.

Our2012 fifth wheel kitchen slide facsia fell off while the trailer was sitting in the trailer park on our lot at the lake.

So rough roads didn't jar this one off...........

Where does it say in the warranty that if you drive on a gravel road you warranty is void ??

I've drove on highway far more rough than many gravel roadssounds like your dealer is out to lunch
