Leaking Vanity Faucet

IMG_1715 (360x269).jpg
Those copper ascent faucets didn’t hold their copper plating and ours sprung a leak.
DW found that everything under the bathroom vanity was soaked. Each time the faucet was on the water was running under the vanity as well as into the sink. This resulted in a major cleanup and drying out chore; even in the basement. This new chrome fixture looks great and even has a drain actuator which took some modification to be able to work in a sink with no overflow vent. I brightened the vanity up with a Costco motion detecting LED light fixture. It required a Buck Amp since it operated at 4.5dcV not 12dcV.
Additional Modifications: Door Stop for the toilet seat and a Paper holder with a travel mod and an in use mod.

It always is amazing how cheap some RV faucets can be. The shower valve is another one. What's really bad is sometimes I see the same garbage in homes. 100% plastic and probably costs 5.00. The other work looks good.

At least your faucet is on the sink. Our's is behind the sink. I replaced it with one that had a taller spout that at least was closer to running the water in the sink. I'm still not thrilled with the set up. Also, if water got on the counter, it would leak under the sink and drip down making it wet under the sink. I caulked around the sink with a thin bead of silicone. That has helped with that problem, but I still do not like the faucet situation. May try and modify that later. Also, our medicine chest is set up so high, it would be wonderful if I were 6'5". Unfortunately, I'm 5'4". I did add a cute swing arm magnifying mirror that I use. I don't even try to use the mirror on the medicine chest. Here is a photo of our bathroom sink and medicine chest. This was before I changed out the faucet.

What brand of faucet did you replace with? Think Crossroads needs to re-think the design/location of these vanity faucets.

Thank You

I think you can use just about any 4" faucet from a box store. We replaced all the ones on my old Roo. On my CR only the bathroom drives me nuts, its too far back. Need a long neck.

Yes, I am sure you could. Probably could get a better quality faucet by paying a little more at a box store.
