I was backing up to my 5ver this morning and wasn't thinking and I hit the front cap with the rail for the cover of the bed. A real bone head move. It looks bigger in the pic, the damaged area is a little smaller then a dime. Taking it to the body shop in the morning, been kicking myself all day. Then of coarse the wife has to chime in and give me a hard time about it. I won't live this one down for a while.

The first dent/ding is always the worst one. Buy one of those large bandaids and have fun with it...

My first bonehead move was rubbing the bedroom slide cover roller slide along a tree limb pulling out of a campsite. It looked a lot worse than yours but fortunately I managed to fix it myself and all is well now. I kicked myself for about 2 weeks until I got it fixed. It all forgotten now except I know to turn wide and look up 12 feet for obstructions as well as at street level.

All the best on your repairs.

Don't feel so bad. I put my first dent in my truck in almost 3 years last weekend. I backed into my 5th wheel hitch with my tailgate up. It was late at night, pooring rain and the visibility was horrible. I backed slowly in to my campsite and just tapped it. So lightly DW didn't feel it. But I did .

Our first dent in the TT wasn't even our fault. It was CW's fault. We left it there for work and they backed something into the front curbside corner. A little banging w/ a rubber mallet and some caulking it was good as new. We chose to fix it ourselves (only cost a few bucks in supplies) and they gave us a $100 gift card. While the gift card was nice to have it didn't really take the sting out of the first dent in the baby. Only reason we fixed it ourselves was we were 1 1/2hr from dealership to home and we didn't want to have to come back for it. You eventually get past that first ding but it always makes you want to cry.

I got my baby fixed today for free it's always nice to have buddies who own a body shop. You can't tell it ever happened. Now if I can get the wife to forget.

I dented my cab , luckily it didn't take out whole back window making a tight turn. The dent is on the driver's side so I see it every time I get in my truck.. It's a good reminder.

LOL, I know what 'Bone Head' feels like, and like you the DW doesn't let me forget. Wanted to move the Motorhome over, in the drive just a foot or so, forgot to unplug shore power, talk about feeling like an idiot!!

We backed our 5th wheel into the campsite. I (DW) usually put the slides out while DH watches to make sure we have enough room. Well he was not looking. Bent the bottom section of the slide while it was trying to push over the electrical pole. Guess who won, yes the pole. Could not drive home that way so we took that section off, (looked terrible) and ordered another section. It came with the decals but we had to get it painted at the body shop. Anyway..... we have the measurements on the phone now and measure to see if we have room to bring the slides out. It sure makes you feel bad when something happens to your unit.

We dented the cab, drivers side, this season. The DH just beat himself up over it. Got the truck fixed and no-one is the wiser. Now we have a post-it on the dash, "Don't forget to engage the slide hitch"
