new old Cruiser

Hello,
I am new here and coming from the dark side of Forest River. Due to changes in life circumstances, we are downsizing from a 38' Salem to potentially a 2003 28BH Cruiser. While I realize this one has some years on it, it appears to be in excellent shape and has a floor plan and features that we have been looking for. Does anyone have any input on this model and era of trailer? Thanks.

We had a 2003 CF 27 RL bought new. The only issue we had with it in 7 years was the ALKO axles were replaced under warranty due to manufacturing issues.

I did seal the cap to the roof and the roof to the rear with Eternabond tape.

That was a good year, at that point in time CrossRoads was a independent manufacture

We have 05 29ck and love it. We traded a 04 Salem le bunkhouse for it and love the three slides. The only problem we have had was the water tank sag but three pieces of 11/2" angle iron took of that. As with any camper that is used the previous upkeep makes a big difference. After we got ours we found out it sat on a seasonal lot for years. The previous owners kept the galley valve open and all the grease and solids had the tank draining very slow but that is fixed now.
Unless you know the previous owners and how it was taken care of treat it as it needs everything looked at. Go over it from top to bottom and do all the maintenance From wheel bearings to checking the refrigerator vents for obstructions. If it is from a dealer try to get at least a 30 day warranty so you can try out everything. Wont hurt to ask. Good luck and enjoy!

Just as Frank has said Crossroads was not owned by Thor at that time, which is a good thing mush better product in my estimation...Also Dagst1 makes some really good points...Can't add too much to both of those posts so all I will say is welcome to the forum, and best of luck with your new 2 U camper...Enjoy...

Thanks for the input. We bought it yesterday. It has had some very minor water damage that has been fixed. I love the floor plan and the mobility compared to the 38' whale that I have been pulling around the last 8 years
