I ended up trading my 2002 Chevy 2500HD 8.1L with 61,000 miles for a 2006 GMC D/A with 46,000 miles + some cash. The deal just fell in my lap and it was to good topass up.

Will miss the 8.1L but look forward to seeing how the D/A does.

Congrats! I am sure the new truck will give you years of service.

So far I've noticed a big difference in MPG empty. My 8.1L would get 10-12 where the D/A is getting 18-19mpg. Haven't towed with it yet but I'm hoping for more range.

Just hope I have as many trouble free years/miles as I did with the 8.1L.
