On Thursday we picked up our new CF31QB from RV Wholesalers. The coach is really exactly want we wanted and ordered.

Last night when we were setting up here in Nashville my wife saw that someone has sideswiped our brand new coach! The damage is mainly to the passenger side fender skirt but there is paint, etc on the body as well. There is also a minor dent but not too significant. We stopped at a Wal-Mart just off IH-75 in KY yesterday afternoon. While we did park way out in the lot we suspect that is where the damage occured. We'll try to buff out the body marks and see how much a new skirt will set us back.

OUCH!

Art :
its a shame you are so far south already.Gbontrag had a post may 20 last posting said the skirts ran about 40.00 however the shipping is expensive. It stinks to have your brand new trailer with a scratch however it may be best to wait till the factory rally next summer and pick up a new skirt then or if you have time run to the factory for them.I believe Gary said the shipping was abt 200.00 to Denver. However they are relatively easy to replace. We had to take ours off and do some work after a mission tire experience.Hope you all have a nice trip home and continue to enjoy your new unit.

Sorry to hear of your bad luck. What a shame that whoever did this didn't have the courtesy to leave you a note or find you. I wonder what has happened to people feeling responsible for their actions!!

WElcome to the"if it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have none at all" group.

May 18, someone hit the front of my parkedtruck.....$4000.00 and a month later, got it back....messed up the steering, bumper, fender.

Two weeks later, another hit...on my parkedjeep and almost got the camper. this time, I got some of my taxes back..cash for clunkers on a new car. Too bad I could not buy a Bradley vehicle.

and the lemonade is still not too sweet.

Sometimes parking out by yourself does not work. Soon after I had got my new car I parked out away from everyone. Came out of the Wal Mart to find another car parked so close to my car it was almost impossible to get in the car. We were the only two cars for at least 1000 yards. I think they do it to spite you. In your case maybe we can say who ever hit you was so impressed with your new Cruiser he hit it beacuse he was looking at the trailer and not where he was going. An offroad biker once told me if you want to miss a rock in the road do not look at the rock. Look where you want to go. I found if you look at the rock you will most likely hit the rock. Someone was looking at your great new

Cruiser.

Well it really could have been worse. No one (us) was injured and none of the RV's systems were affected. No sense wishing poorly of the person who did this as it will come back on me.

Tomorrow we will try and buff out the paint. Updates as they happen.

After 2-1/2 hours of compounding the orange paint is gone. My wife worked very hard to get it all off. A lone scratch remains but if it is last one we get we'll live with it.

Well look at it this way, you were bound to get a scratch or boo boo at some point so at least you got it out of the way early. Ours took about a year to get but I was able to do like you and compound the small area out.

As far as fixing the damage it is a very easy process but as I posed to get the body panels shipped is the costly part because they come in long sections and are very light weight. I replaced 2 panels on my 5er as well as the plastic fender. Glad to say it looks good as new and only took about 3 hours for the total replacement. Once again credit has to be given to the factory for their instruction and support.
