Progressive Technologies Surge Suppressor

I had a question about the PTC Surge Suppressor and sent off an e-mail yesterday evening. Talk about responsive. The reply was at 7:28am this morning.

You can use it on 15, 20, 30, and 50 amp service just fine and on the Gen use in by-pass and you are all set to go.

I am thinking of purchasing the HW50C to install in my RV. It is factory
wired for 50A service. It uses Marinco connectors and I have the one with a
50A cord and plug. No problem there. I also have a plug wired to a 30A cord
that I use when both AC's are not needed. It's also used to connect to the
Yamaha EF4500 generator. There is another plug that goes to a regular 20A
cord used for refrigerator and converter power when 30A not available.

Question is when using the 30A or 20A plugs both sides of the 50A plug are
wired together. Is this going to cause a problem with the HW50C? Supposedly
when using a generator the 50C can be bypassed because of grounding/neutral
issues.

I really don't want to hardwire the device in to find out it has problems
when using it with other than a normal 50A circuit.

We found the best price at Camping World when we bought in spring. Not sure if they are still the cheapest.
