RV Features unobtainable

FEATURES
Our RV requirements are:
· Access to the refrigerator, bathroom and bed with all the slides in.
· No Schwintek slide.

When pulling into a wayside for lunch or spending an evening at Cabelas out-lot, it’s great to have easy access to these important features. The next time we get stuck in a 14” snow fall or having temperatures drop to 8º the living area slides will be in. Clearing the slides of snow and ice is a royal pain to the posterior.

Of all the RVs at last week’s Madison Wisconsin RV Show there was none that fit this bill. We’re keeping the old CF31RE.

My 25rb had an un-accessible bathroom with slide in until I reversed the door and frame, now it opens 'in' and works with slide in.

I'm with you Dave. That's part of the reasons we still have our old rig.

Full access is one reason I choose our sunset trail. We downsized to a 22BH, it only has a shallow slide that while in, does not block the bathroom or kitchen. Great while traveling when you need to pull off at an exit and just use the bathroom. I could not imagine having to extend a slide just to use the head.

That was one reason we brought our sf32rl. We have full access to the fridge, bathroom and bedroom. The sf33rl has the layout.

Our 32rl you can get to the frig, bathroom and bed with out sliding the slide out. But it hard to get to the table, sink, stove, or chairs with them in. I have use the bathroom while traveling. 2015 doesn't use the Schwintek slide system.

that is a good idea about reversing the doors. I will look into it. In our 2010 CT30QBX you cannot get into the bathroom, nor into the rear bedroom, or even open the refrigerator with the slide in.

we don't have to worry about taking the unit out in snow due to MK's work schedule but when we do go somewhere, it would be nice to access both those areas if need be with the slide in.

I thought about swapping out the doors for folding units since it us just the 2 of us and the dogs now.

We had a 05 Copper Canyon bunkhouse and we took the door off. The DW wanted to be able to look out the back window during the day. Now that the kids are gone and we upgraded to the new trailer, we took the bedroom door off since it's just the two of us most of the time. With our layout no one can see us in the bedroom anyway.

They stopped making our model in 2014 but it has all the things you are looking for. Too bad as I like our floor plan but I know we will be hanging onto it for along time yet. (CF345RF)

They have several cruiser models that still allow access but I'm unsure if they have a Schwintek slide or not. Like the CF333RL and the CF322RL or CF326RL.

I wish they would make a kneeling suspension like Ice Castle and all the rest of the fish manufactures. And why do we need them so high off the ground when parked.

We'll keep that in mind when we take our Cruiser out over a frozen lake.

Our 333RL has easy access to fridge, bath and bedroom with all the slides in. That was one of the reasons we went with this floor plan. The only thing is, you have to climb over the end of the bed when the slide is in because there isn't enough room to walk past the bed and dresser. As for the slide mechanics our bedroom is a Schwintek but the other two are not. There are a few companies out there that use the electric push/pull type electric or hydraulic and a few that use the cable type mechanisms instead of the Schwintek. All of them have there good and bad points.

We have ST32BH when the slides are in we can access the fridge and use the kitchen. We can acces the master bedroom from the curb side (my side). We have a second entry door to the bathroom so on the road we access it from the outside. The bunkhouse is off limits with the slides closed.

Number one on our list when we went to buy our Rv was the accessibility to the fridge. Second was the bathroom. Luckily, we got both. We can access our bedroom from the bathroom, so that was a plus also.

I'm just saying it would be nice to have the 5th wheel lower down to a TT height when parked.
