I have a 2010 29CK Cruiser. According to the manual it calls for the seams to be checked every 6 months and cerified by a dealer. As my unit is now 2 years old,I thought I would take it one step further. I had a dealer remove on of the moldings joining the lower metal piece to the Fiberglass wall. WHAT a SHOCK.First of all the metal piece is on the top of the fiberglass, with no sealant. Further there is NO clay putty tape under the molding. Should the small strip of Dicor crack, in goes the water. Corner molding are the same.We live on the West Coast and it is know to rain here. I am really surprized at the absence of putty tape as I thought Crossroads built a quality produce.I might add, mine is not the only unit without the tape. Any one else had this exoerience. PS. Cost to have fixed-$2,800.00

I have a few pictures and will try and post. Unfortunately my camera didn't work when I wanted to take most of them. I have not asked Crossroads yet,if they are prepared to pay the cost. I wondered if anyone else had the same problem.

Our 2010 Cruiser only requires inspection once per year. Not having the required inspection might mean that CR will not cover the repair.

I'm a little confused, but very interested, as to where on the trailer you are talking about. Pictures would be great for all of us!

Also, are you saying damage did occur? If so what exactly is the damage and specifically where is it?

thanks,

Crossroads only requires an annual inspection of roof area and the visible caulking around windows, etc. on sides of trailer. There is a page in the warranty pamphlet that comes with the trailer that explains all the particulars.

The inspection is required annually for the five year term of the frame warranty. After the inspection the report MUST be sent (faxed) to CR.

Copy of pictures after removing a side molding showing no clay putty and the second showing the lower tin siding mounted over the fiberglass wall once again with no sealant. If your Dicor gets a minor crack, water goes between the wall and tin straight nto the floor cavity.Corner molding, cap molding etc had very little if any clay putty also.Roof Windows and door seamed okay. Also hatches had no putty.

Artgpo is correct. The inspections are only required annually. It was suggested that we inspect every six months and now I understand why!The added sheet to your warranty manual states that not only roof, windows etc be checked but that all moldings, seams etc be inspected.
My intention of the original post was to ask if anyone else had found the same problem -that is- the absence of putty behind the moldings. Thank for all the input. It would seem the units are built for a very dry climate, not the Pacific Northwest.
