I am not where I can look at my camper right now, so I will ask on here. what has everyone else done with the spare tire when installing something like the JT StrongarmStrongarm or such. Is the spare in the way?

We installed the Ulta-Fab manufactured Eliminators. They
require a 30” from the landing gear attachment point with no interference from
the spare tire. The spare tire was in the way.

I did some measuring and figured that I would never be
able to extend the landing gear far enough for there to be a problem with the
stabilizers. I mounted the inboard end of the stabilizer so that it just touches
the spare tire and then carefully cut off the smaller stabilizer tube (inner)
to it longest possible length.

They have been in use now for two seasons with NO
problems.

And by the way they would GREAT. I never did install the
two rear stabilizer bars and doubt that I ever will.
See you down the trail............................. Kamper Dave

I installed a set of these

I didn't have to move the spare tire. I have them front and back.
I have heard of some that had to move the spare back an in. or 2.

We put these on and Love them

It was necessary to move the spare back a little. We just caulked the old hole on the spare as the bracket for the lift covered the old hole.

If you don't use all the space under your bed you could put the tire there.

I moved my tire back a few inches. Wasn't a big deal. Got a set of 6 all the way around. My only complaint was why I waited so long to install them.

Good to hear. I was hoping to leave the spare where it was. It's out of the way and not taking up storage space. Thanks all

If I remember correctly, there are 2 bolts holding up the winch underneath. One bolt in front of the other. The front bolt I just moved to the rear hole and only needed to drill one more hole.

I used the ultra fab eliminators. Work great and customer service was awesome. At first use, I was tighening up the T-bolts and one broke in my hand (the T came off the bolt-- I suppose it was poorly welded) luckily it was in the driveway. I had an inner and outer tightened together. I phoned ultra fab, explained the situation, including the fact I bought them at CW in the US when on a camping trip and the person on the phone said "No problem, I ship an inner, outer and T handle this afternoon, all I need is an address."
I recieved them in about 4 days. Its really good to see some companies really stand behind their product, without hassle. Not too many around like that anymore.

I am thinking about the Steady Fast system on my Provincial 335SS, and I know I have to move the spare tire back so the info here is great. Has anyone reinforced the steel floor in the forward compartment to mount this system or have you just bolted everything to the frame? I really want to ditch my tripod, it's a pain!

I installed a set of Eliminator stabilizer bars on our unit and did not have to move the spare. I bolted everything to the frame.

the eliminators come with some small stiffening plates. I used 2 and sandwiched the metal floor in the front compartment.
