I'm thinking ( yes, i know thats dangerous) aboutreplacing the rotaflex pinbox on our cruiser with a trailair air pinbox. This is with the air pad and shock absorber. Has anyone done this with their cruiser? It just looks like a better system than whats on there now. Thanks for any help or info.
I plan on having one on our next unit but we are looking at units in the 14k to 16k range. I don't know how well they would work on a lighter unit. Since your unit appears to still have a warranty you might want to check with Lippert.</span>

According to the folks in the warranty department changing the pinbox will not have any effect on your frame warranty. I checked on this prior to replacing the Roto/flex pinbox on our 335SS with a MOR/ryde pinbox over a year ago. When I called I spoke to Dave. The number is 1-866-524-7821.

I have had a TrailAir pinbox on my Cruiser for 9 years now and love it. It was rusting in places last year so I took it apart, sanded it down, repainted it and the folks at TrailAir sent me a complete set of new decals for it at no charge. Of course that gives them free advertisement. The only problem I have ever had with it is a leaky valve stem at the fitting and they told me how to fix that.
I installed the trailair air this morning. About a 2 1/2 hour job. I used a transmission jack in the bed of the truck strapped the rotoflex on to it for removal and it make an easy job of aligning up the new one. Along with using the up and down on thelanding gears.
I hooked it up to the hitch to get the proper air in it. Hopefully, we'll be able to road test it in the near future.
Thepin box i ordered was a L05 model which will fit most cruisers. It is also calleda Lippert 1621 model.
This one came from adventurerv.net. to the front door for $896.00
Maybe this info will be helpful to someone wanting to do the same.
