Need to replace tires on our Ford 150. would like suggestions on A/T Highway Tires & rating for towing our traveltrailer. We are looking for a tire with good performance with a low road noise, and a good riding tire.Looking at the Michelin LTX M/S2.We read reviews on the website tirerack.com

Most of the reviews are good, however looking for any suggestions on tires. We live in the midwest so lots of snow & rain. Thanks Karen & Larry

I just put the michelin LTX on in March. I couldn't find anything I liked better. I had BF Goodrich on from the factory and they were great tires , got 54000 on them, but I felt the Michelin were also very goodand at the time cheaper than the Goodrich. Ones I bought are E rated and 17 inch. They were around $1000.

The Mich's are a great tire.. I'm looking at them for my truck and probably will go with them when winter returns. Based on your truck / capacities a "E" load rating will be overkill and much harder riding than the standard LT tires you currently have.

In my pricing research I have found that my Ford Dealer and Discount Tire have the best pricing. NTB had some crazy Royal Tire program that added $150that included lifetime rotation and a prorated warranty program.

I put on Bridgestone Dueler Revo A/T 2 tire a couple years ago. Been very

happy with them. Low noise and great traction. Be sure you look for the

Revo 2 tires, not the older Revo tires.

I have been running the Michelin LTX A/T2 for about a year now and they have been great. I do go offroad with the truck from time to time and so far no issues with traction. Great wet weather tire as well.

Same for me, LTX AT/2 from Michelin. A little pricey but after riding on them for a year they are very well worth the money in all catagory's. And if they last 70,000 miles as they claim it will be even better.

Several years ago when our travel trailer pulling duties were handled by the wife's Suburban, I had a set of the Michelin LTX M/S tires put on it. They were great all around performers. Quiet enough on the highway, good traction on and off pavement. I didn't have them long enough to report tread lifebut do know others that have run them well past 60,000 miles.

They were my first choice when I was needing new tires for my truck last year. But at the last minute I got a very good deal from Discount Tireon BFG All-terrain KO's and went that route. A good tire as well, just a little noisier.

I hear ya on the investment part... When I purchased my Goodyear Wranglers Load Range E 3 years ago I paid $158 per tire installed. Which I thought was a decent price considering they are 20". I have just under 70k on them so I got mileage out of them can't complain there. Now pricing them new tires out I'm getting $229 plus mounting for the Goodyears and $250 for the Mich's.
