We have put in an offer to purchase the camper in our signature. We did a pretty thorough walk-thru to put together our PDI list (including climbing onto roof). I do not recall seeing a TV antenna on the roof. In fact, I do not recall any kind of crank mechanism inside the unit that would raise it either. I saw something near the rear of the rig that looked like a high-tech radio antenna. Is this also the TV antenna?

Thanks for the help.We are really looking forward to camping in this rig!

Michelle -- When you go up the stairs to go to the bedroom, there should be a handle above your head in the hallway. That is the TV antenna. That is where mine is and I have a Cruiser also, just a different model. All the campers I know of, all pretty much have them in the same spot. You must have overlooked it on your walk around.

Michelle, My 2012 305sk does not have a crank up antenna. It has a round all direction antenna on the roof that does not turn.

Michelle, My 2011 had a high tech looking antenna also, I learned that this works poorly, and the Dealer service shop manager confirmed this with me. We asked them to replace it with a new WinegardSensar II

RV3095 crank up model and works great.

Have the 2013CR345RF and we insisted upon having he Wingard not the fiberglass wing TV antenna as the reviews of those were not good. Booster is behind the TV over the fireplace, there is a release that allows the TV to swing out so you can turn it on or off and hook up other accessorys such as satellite, bluegray DVD player etc....

Love the layout and tows like a dream, just having some small issues with little things... waiting on warm weather and then it will go to dealer for the warranty work.

Which antenna are they replacing it with? Where does the line form? I going to call and complain (once again) about my Jensen antenna maybe they will replace mine too.

I asked the tech about this antenna during our PDI today and he said that some of the Jensen antennas work good and others don't work at all - there is no in between. He mentioned that he knew of one owner that got Crossroads to replace his Jensen model with a Wingard under warranty but that it is likely a case-by-case basis. I figured we can always hit up the Crossroads factory when we are out in Indiana this summer for the Factory Rally and maybe they would do it for free since I hauled the camper to their front door.

Todd,
I remember having work done last summer on my 28RKX when I was @ the Rally. One thing to remember though is that many people who are coming to the rally have appointments set up month's in advance so they are really busy. I tell you this now because I am taking mine in to have Never Fail bushings installed while at the rally. So, if you want his done contact them...maybe if you're lucky they'll send it to your dealer and have him install it for you.

Good luck,
Jim

Well, called and complained again----they are sending me a new antenna---JENSEN---hope this is one of the few that works---my current one picks up nothing. However my brother has a CR product with the Jensen omni directonal antenna and it works great for him. I can be setting right next to him he picks up 8 channels I get0 channels.

Todd,

I used mine in a place that I know that I could get 10 or 12 stations with my old RV and could only get 2 with my jensen. But I also have dish network and a tailgater dish.

BDLuke, no it did not come with the trailer but it is a brand new flat screen Panasonic. And actually if I happen to be located close enough to a transmitting station I can pick up the signal. However if I venture say 30 miles away from the transmiter, its a no show. I happen to take the locking set screw out of the base of the antenna, the old one on the roof, and a little water seeped out. Not good, they are supposed to be sealed. Somehow moistuer has gotten inside, that I think is probably the problem. We'll see when I replace itwith the new one---I'm thinking about sealing all screw heads and joints in the new antenna with silicone, in an effort to try and keep moisture out.

We also have the Jensen, camping in the middle of southern Ontario we get 1 digital and 1 analog channel (Bon Echo Park). Camping 30 miles east of Toronto, on the shore of Lake Ontario...nothing! At the factory rally last summer we had 13 channels found when I did the auto search.
I think it has more to do with the location, strength of the signals and the direction the trailer/antenna is pointing.

Smith and others:

Smith: I have a eraly 2012 335SS and there is not a crank up antenna - the round Jensen antenna on the rear roof is both a radio and a TV antenna.

To those having trouble with the antenna's Make sure that you move the 3 position selector switch on the cable wall plug behind the TV to antenna before you auto scan - if it is the wrong position you will get few if any channels. AS well my trailer came from the factory with a messy wiring job on the back of the selector switch - which made the TV reception from the antenna fail. For a full description of my wiring fix see the middle of the following thread: http://forums.crossroadsrv.com/forum...s.asp?TID=5700 .

As I suspected--when I removed my wonderful Jensen Antenna not only did I find moisture but standing water in the antenna base. Needless to say one of the anchor screw heads was rusty. Upon further review the cable connection was rusty and inside the the connector was rusty. That along with the conductor wire being only 1/8 of an inch long pretty much assured that I would never have gotten a signal thru to my flat screen HD TV. I was pretty sure it was an issue with the antenna after double checking all connections and routes inside my trailer. I feel i have a better chance this summer of watching TV--but I'm still not holding my breath, after all its a Jensen.
