TV goes out when lights go on

TV goes out when we turn main living room lights on. How do we fix that?

A bit more info would be helpful. Do you mean you loose the picture only or does the tv loose ALL power. Strange since the tv is 120v and the living room lights are 12v. Does it regain power/picture if you turn the lights back off?

The picture goes out but the power stays on. I think I am remembering this correctly because it is still winterized in storage but this happened before we put it away.

There is another thread here where we believe people's antenna booster was wired to the wrong side of a 12V light. Switched on the ground side, power would be available (in series through the bulb) until the light was switched on. Then that side would be ground and the booster got zero volts. Black means ground in 12V circuits, but hot in 120 vac circuits. That is my theory where the miswiring occurred.

When my husband put the battery back in, he crossed the positive and negative. This blew the fuse in the thermostat and then we discovered the problem with the tv and lights.
