Unknown interior switches - Crossroads customer service no help?

We recently purchased a CR3391RL. On the side of the cabinet, leading to the hallway stairs there are 4 switches (2 groups of 2 each). One group of 2 is mounted under the thermostat for heat and air, the other 2 are under fan control box. We have figured out that the right switch on the first group is for the light under the outside steps. On the second group, the left switch is for the inside hall light.

We have tried and checked everything to try to figure out what the left switch of the first group, and the second switch of the second group are for. Neither of these switches seem to control anything as far as we can tell.

So I decided to call Crossroads customer service to find out and the said that these switches are not marked but they "usually" control either outside OR lighting OR speakers, that they have no schematics that can tell me what these switches are for?!?! Really...??

So we still have no idea what these other 2 are for. If anyone knows I would appreciate your info...

Thanks

Possibly scare light switches? Any help from the dealer?

Also if you have an outlet under the awning, one of them could be for that. So you can turn off the awning lights at night.

We have the same trailer, different switch configuration. Our switches turn on LED lights over the side bar counter, lights under the side cabinets, hallway light, and the outdoor light at the front of the rig. This light has only worked a couple of times since we purchased in late January. Hope this helps.

Awning light is elsewhere.. it is marked. As you can see, these are not marked. We have been all around the RV at night testing these two unknown switches and cannot find what they control.. we are assuming they may be dead switches..

Our switches turn on LED lights over the side bar counter, lights under the side cabinets, hallway light, and the outdoor light at the front of the rig.

Side bar counter, under cabinets and hallway light are all identified. One of these is the hall light. The counter and under cabinet lights are above the cabinets on the wall (not pictured). The switch for the outdoor light at the front of the rig is under the front of the RV over the hitch.

Thanks for the ideas!

We are really baffled about this. We can't believe the manufacturer couldn't help us. They just said that there is no schematic for light switches so they have no idea! Really??!!

You could remove the switches to see if they are even connected. If they are then check each side for voltage. It may be possible they are for upgrades or options and are not used at the current time.

Yes my husband thought about doing that but it is a brand new RV and we hate to mess anything up.. it is not an absolute necessity.. we'll see. Thanks

Just curious where did you buy the camper. And under warranty take it back and tell them that the switches do not work and let them investigate.

Well, we can't really do that.. we purchased it in Texas last year while we were vacationing because the old RV we had at the time literally had so many bad issues, both old and newly developed, that we decided we did not want to take it back home to Missouri especially since it was in November and the issues it had would make it not so good to spend any more time in it and travel all the way back to Missouri.

So, it's really too far to do that. I guess we should have put more thought into perhaps purchasing it closer to home but other than that, we are very pleased with this new RV...

Narow it down...pop the cover off the switch and see if it is actually hooked up..could be just siting there or wire could be unhooked..

My bet is it turns on the flux capacitor, but you'll need to be going 88mph, and make sure your battery has a full charge as I think that 1.21 gigawatts drain might otherwise dim all the other lights.

If I'm right, and you do make it back to 1985, can you put a Ferrari on layaway for me please....

Happy Thanksgiving.

The flux capacitor isn't found in the trailer. It's in the tow vehicle. Sheez I thought everybody knew that

Well, curiosity is killing me, and I don't even own the unit. If it were me, I'd have had the cover off the switches right away.
I would pull them off, usually an easy task, and see if they are even connected. Then check for voltage, both on and off. It could be either 12 volts or 120, but those really look like 12 volt switches. I bet they are for add-on accessories you may not have in your unit.
