My 32BL has developed a water problem. The underbelly on the outside of the frame rail has water in it about a gallon or two. There are no waterlines anywhere near the area in question. It is underneath the entry door. I am thinking rain water is running down the exterior wall and entering where the metal skirting is fastened to the wall. Anybody have similar problems? Would photos help?

Thanks
Todd

The Darco underbelly fabric wraps around the side of the floor frame during construction, then the side wall framing is bolted to the floor frame. When the sidewall skin is installed, it overlaps the fabric. So except for screw penetrations, there is no path for water on the outside to pass thru the skin and get behind the fabric edge. Well, that is the theory. I'm sure you have checked the trim and trim screws to look for obvious caulking gaps or missing screws. What about where the trim meets the door frame? What about under the door threshold? I don't believe there is any caulk under the threshold, so road spray may be able to get behind the Darco fabric under the threshold. Just an idea.

On 2 occassions I have had water get to the under belly, The first was a slow leak at the water pump that traveled down the ppluming holes and into the under belly. The second was a leak at the city connection (bad check vale) and it did much the same thing to another location.

I had water in the under belly twice. It came from the fresh water fill tube. Those things are notorious for being next to impossible to get sealed up where they slide over the tank fitting.
It usually happens when you get your fresh water tank filled to the max.
