While camping near home last weekend we discovered our closest radio station that plays Cardinals baseball games can be picked up in our van bt not on the Zingers radio.
I was looking at the roof of my new 19RD and saw what must be a antenna for the radio that was laying flat against the roof. From the ladder it looks like it would be capable of rotating to a vertical position if I climb out on the roof to move it. Does anyone have any experience with rotating this to improve reception?
Nope, not the tv antenne. This is a maybe 3ft long what looks like a radio antanne with what looks like a spring/hinge where it mounts onto the roof. It is located almost directly over where the radio is inside. It is not crankup in anyway. It looks to require climbing onto the roof to raise it to a vertical position.
Yes, you can adjust it, mine is a philips type screw. Just loosen & raise it up. I'm sure they had lowered it while it transit, so as not to knock it off. I leave ours up all the time & let the spring do its job.

It's an omni directional antenae, that works more efficently raised. It's not going to omni much, sitting on your roof. I leave ours up, always have & let the ball spring do its job.
