This TT is new to me and it didn't come with any manuals. As you enter the trailer, on the left side cabinet, there is two switches. One is obviously for gas and the other appears to be for electric. A fellow camper says he thinks this indicates I have both electric and gas capability for my heater and water heater. Can someone confirm this?

You will have to look at your water heater and get a model number. From that do a search and get the spec's.

It sounds like it. My 2011 zinger has a water heater that runs off gas or electric. I have a switch for gas and a switch for electric. They are Right next to each other and below my tank indicators. Make sure you have water in the tank before turning either of those on. You could try turning on the electric one and waiting a bit (30-60 min) and see if you get hot water. The gas heats my hot water tank in 10-15 min. If I need hot water quickly (ie forgot to turn on electric one and now I want a shower) then I use the gas to get ot hot quicker.

Your water heater would generally have a dual option of gas or electric. You also mentioned your "heater" I assume you mean furnace. That would be gas only. It is possible to convert or add electric but that is not the norm. It would require lots of power to produce equivalent heat compared to gas.
