Air Conditioner Computer Board

Does anyone have any knowledge of the Air Conditioner Computer Board on a 2012 Crossroads Zinger? For the past year, when the air is turned on...there is kind of a delay and some clicking, but it eventually comes on and is very cold. However, in a recent overall checkout at the local RV dealer...I was told that the air conditioner computer board was bad, but that the air conditioner still works. And to just get it replaced once it quits working. I'm a bit nervous by this comment knowing that I am spending a week in Florida in June and certainly don't want to be without A/C during any of this time. Any suggestions or comments on this issue or remedy for my situation? Thanks in advance!

First thing I'd do is get a second opinion, some dealerships only know how to sell stuff & not FIX anything.

x2 get second opinion.

It could be your thermostat.

I had a short in my board and I replaced it myself on my 2013 300BH. Cost me 80 bucks online and took less than an hour to install. All the connections are plug-n-play.

There is a part and serial number on the board and I was able to research the replacement on ebay. Don't bother buying a used board. only new

BTW, if the board IS bad, it may be indicative of another problem. My board shorted because of condensation and turned out the seal was bad around the intake.

Definitely get someone else to look at it. Were they trying to save you money?

If the board is bad, it could possibly cause damage to more expensive components like the compressor.
