Does the factory have a parts counter? I need a piece of molding that is over UPS's maximum size of 8 feet. It may be more cost effective for me to just take a short trip to the factory and buy it, if I can.

Howdy fellow NE OhioanCall CR and ask for Randy...he would know. If they do we may try to get the countertop extension while at the Rally in July

I did call today - they don't have a counter but if you call before you arrive they can have parts ready.

Shipping for the part I need was less than the dealer quoted so I just ended up ordering the part.

I have a small dent in my left front aluminum quarter panel. Not much, but I know it's there and my unit is brand new and I want it fixed. My dealer tells me the shipping will be mor ethan the part. LOL But, at 12' I believe him, as thin as the aluminum is it will have to be boxed pretty carefully. I called CR to see if I could get it in for repairs when I'm at the rally. Actually I'm droppiing my unit at Shipshewanna North on the 24th and coming back on the 26th and staying through the next Monday. CR told me they are totally booked that week with work from others attending the rally. Guess I waited too long to call. But, if you now say I can call and order the part I will see if I can do that and just bring it back inside my unit and have my dealer here put it on. I cannot see it being that much work at all. Thanks for this info, it helps...now waiting for a call from Randy or one of his peers to see how much it will cost me.

thanks,
Jim

I needed a new section of paneling for my '04 Paradise Pointe. I called and gave them the VIN and they shipped me the 4 X 8 section of paneling with no problems. The new paneling they are using actually matches perfect with the older stuff they used when mine was built. And shipping was higher than the part but it was still under $100 in the end.

Scott,
A 4x8 section of paneling has to be very flexible and subject to breakage. How was it packaged? Did they use Styrofoam and cardboard or did they use wood blocks in the corners? I was told the shipping would be very costly, even by my dealer who I trust a great deal. I guess the only way to truly know is to wait for Randy to call me back. Thanks for the input.

They sandwiched my sheet of panelingin between 2 sheets of panelingthat were scratched, dented and no good. Then duct taped all the way around them. I cut the tape off and presto, one good sheet of paneling. I didn't go thru a dealer, I just call CrossRoads, gave them my card number and the address to ship it to. As far as cost, I'm only a couple hours from the factory so they didn't have far to go.

Scott,
Still waiting for a call back from Randy as to whether or not they can have one for me when I come to the rally. If they just put it between cardboard I'd be happy, I'll just leave it in the camper for the ride home and let my dealer install it. Thanks for the info.

Yeah shipping will be a LOT more than the part. The piece of molding I needed was $13 for a 10' piece, shipping around $120. I ordered two pieces to make it feel better!

I would have either had to pay for gas to drive to the factory and stay the night or pay shipping. It was cheaper to pay for shipping.

The guy at the parts department said I could pick it up but they would need a few days to order it. I ordered the trim on Monday, got an email yesterday saying it wouldn't be in until the 12th, and shipped after that.

I will have to call about the counter...we could pick it up in July when we go to the rally. Thanks!
