Congratulations and welcome to the Zinger family of campers. I still remember the day we brought ours home. I was young and naive and pulled it home with no weight distributing hitch or sway control. How silly can you be. I have since learned a lot and have made many safety upgrades. the best part of camping is the family memories you will create. We love our family time in the Zinger.

TABROWN - to be honest with you, I was not planning to purchase any weight dist. hitch or sway control. I have a 3/4 ton Dodge diesel 5 speed that I've pulled about everything under the sun with and never had an issue. Do you think I will need that stuff pulling the 26BH?

Not sure what the weight is of the 26footer. I have to be honest, if it adds safety there's no reason not to add it. Any ER visit will cost more than having a really nice WD hitch and no one wants their family to be in danger. In addition to the WD you will want to look at sway control. These items really shouldn't be options, they should be required. You will begin to realize your needs when you hit a row of uneven pavement that causes you to bounce or pass 3 semi's in a row and you swerve to stay on the road. Not trying to be a smarty, but that's how I learned too...

yes you will need WDh and sway control w/ your TT. Your tongue weight is over the max for the receiver to not have a WDH. Check your manual, it tells you on the fords what you can have as load bearing. It is less than your TT's TW. You should have sway control too. These trailers tend to sway pretty easily, a lot easily than any other trailer because you are towing a giant sail behind you. You can get a reese dual cam or an equalizer for a decent price. IMHO the safety is worth the price.
