Does anyone know the size of the fresh water tank on a '12 Zinger ZT26BH?

One brochure says 58 gallons, another says 54 gallons.

The weight tag on mine says that a full fresh water tank weighs 128 KG or 282 lbs. Water weighs 8 lbs / gallon so that would equal out to be 35 gallons, far from 54 or 58 gallons.

So does anyone know the true answer?!

Todd

Everything I see on my trailer's weight stickers indicate it only has a 35 gallon fresh water tank

My guess they're including the HW...... and probably the water in the lines.

Well I can tell you unless they filled the tub, sinks, and toilet up with fresh water too there's no way I have 13 gallons of water in the lines!

54 - 6 (HW) would be 48 gallons. The weight sticker calculates to be 35 gallons or a 13 gallon difference.

I wouldn't put too much stock in what the brochures say. Of the three tanks on ours, only the fresh listing was actually right.

When in doubt, measure as you fill the tank. Figure out how long it takes to fill a gallon bucket at a certain hose setting. Fill the tank at that setting and time it. Do the math.

BTW: Water weighs 8.34 #s per gallon. Actually 8.345404 #s per gallon or 3.7854118 kilograms according to a chart I just checked.

Timing it is a good idea! I'll have to try that out.
