Has anyone installed a 2nd AC unit.

We have just ordered a new ZT28BH with the 50amp service and prewired for a 2 AC unit in the bedroom. Has anyone installed one themselves and if so what brand? I'm looking at a Dometic Brisk Air II 13500btu unit and I'm just wanting to make sure it will fit.

I'll check my ZF31BH tomorrow for the size. I didn't install it myself but I watched the guy put it in. What part of Texas are you in?

I've had the second AC installed on both my 5ers. The hole is the same size on all but check around where the top unit will be for clearance.

It cost me less than $200 labor for installation and for that I didn't have to wrestle a 100lb AC unit onto the roof and horse it around.

Older and lazier....

Have never installed one but my friend had one installed. Since it was for his bedroom area they recommended a lower BTU model, it's the non ducted 9200 BTU Coleman Polar Cub. It was purchased from PPL.

It's supposed to be super efficient.

Good luck.

Once you get it installed, don't forget that your overhead clearance will be less than before. Don't ask me how I know that.

I just had them install mine at the factory when we ordered ours. Actually got my salesperson to include it at no extra charge after the deal was done on the trailer itself.
