Bought a new 2011 32QB in December. Slept in it one night then to storage for the winter. During our first night stay we realized that the skylight is missing above the shower. It's on the paper work and the dealer order. Gonna take it to the factory in a couple weeks for other minor issues.

What do I do about the missing skylight?

1. Let them cut into the rubber roof and scab in some braces for the skylight?

2. Work out a trade for the missing option??

3. Or ????

Thanks

Does your work order for the factory include the sky lite? If not I would get it on there. It sure wouldn't bother me to have the factory install it. My guess is you won't know that it wasn't there before when they get done.

Not on the factory work order but on my purchase agreement.

I also would have the factory install thesky lite. They know the trailer the best and Im sure would do as good or better than a dealer would do installing it.

I guess the question is, how bad do YOU really want the skylite? The factory might say that it's not on the invoice so it shouldn't be there. The dealership on the other hand obviously didn't do their job. You need to go through your dealership (ie have them pay for installation or give you a refund etc).

I'm 6'3 and wouldn't be able to use the shower without the skylight. I don't care about the "skylight" feature, I care about the extra few inches of headroom that let me stand up in the shower - even if I do have to squat to wash my hair. If you're tall - it's not even an option.

Call the factory and ask how easy it can beinstalled. My guess is they build the roof all the same, and it would be a simple install

My 2 cents,

Just another hole in the roof if you don't need the headroom.

I don't need it so I would not put it in,

I think the best place to have it done is at the factory.

You said your going to the factory, so no worries. Randy at the service center has a great team and you'll never know it wasn't there after it is installed by his team.

We have had a custom thermalcover over the inside of ours since we bought our trailer. We wouldjust as soonnot have it on the next unit we buy. It lets heat in during the Summer and cold in the Winter. As Marvin said, just one less hole in the roof. Edited by: Hunter11
