i recently purchased a new 2011 zinger 32QB. i hooked my satelite up to the outsidejack, but it wont work. if i hook it up directly to the satelite receiver it works just fine. what is the problem? is the jack for cable only?

I had a bad cable that was repaired under warranty. Same indications. There should be two cable connections 1 Sat and 1 TV, make sure they are not mislabeled. if everything seems good otherwise, have the dealer fix it under warranty.

I have our DTV hooked up. You need to check a few things:

1.) You need to install another cable jack. You must bypass the antenna signal booster. I put in a male/male connector.

2.) Make sure you hook correct wire to new jack. The WHITE wire on our Zinger was from the rear cable jack. (black wire is antenna). I had wrong one thinking black was cable.

Also, ours needed fixed - ends were not installed correctly at factory. I did repair with a kit.

You MUST install the added jack - Satellite will NOT work thru the factory setup with antenna booster.

Take a look here. This is a PDF of how to make a passthrough for your dish. You have to bypass the booster plate as stated above. I did this mod and makes for easy watching now.
