We have purchased a new 2010 ZT25RK Crossroads Zinger and am interested in outfitting a solar panel on the roof. I have no idea what size I would need or where to purchase one. (RV store is way too expensive). Does anyone have info on a unit that would be suitable? I live in BC Canada

We got our solar panels at Rangeland rv just north of Calgary. We put 2 110 panels on, 2500 inverter, all monitors installed for 4000.00 complete.wonderful set up as we dry camp about 150nights a year. Also have 4, 6 volt batteries.

I just have one 110 solar panel, and 2 6 volt batteries. We only dry camp about 20% of the time. This setup cost $1000 installed. Works good to keep batteries maintained to use lights, furnace and water pump. Anything more than that and we have to spark up the Onan.

I spoke to Grove RV....they want 1800 for an 80 watt panel and an extra battery. I should be able to find a lower price....Sunrise RV wants 1500 for the same thing.

They have a special on complete kit for $549. (135 watt panel) Runs until the end of Mar. They have books on the install and will help talk you through it, if needed.

You will have to call and talk with them. I don't believe the 135 watt kit is listed on their site. It's a new panel replacing the 130 watt kit.
