Bought a 2010 26bl I have a 2006 f 150 3.55 axle 5.4 with 20`s tires. Will it pull ok? Trailer is 5910 dry 828 tongue wt. Yes it has trailer tow package from factory. Sure hope so since I pick it up 9-22-10.

Welcome and what town in Texas are you from? I just bought a 2011 32qb and pull it with a 2010 Dodge 2500 5.7 with 3.73s. It pulls OK but I am changing the gears to 4.10s, If you dont like the way it pulls you can buy a new truck or change the gears. I'd like to hear how well it pulls with your 3.55s. My 32qb weighs 6100 dry and I know I wouldn't want to pull it with 3.55 gears and 3.73s are astretch for me as it is.

Your not gonna win any races and would probably want more truck if traveling through the mountains, otherwise you should be fine with a good hitch setup ( Equal-i-zer brand, or Dual-Cam). A close friend is pulling a Jayco 29FBS Dry 6800lbs, Tongue 750lbs, 30 long with a 2005 Expy 5.4. here in the flat midwest.

chainslinger and sking, you guys goin to the texas rally?

hope to see ya'll there.

and like salda01 said, you definately wont win any races. we have the same issue. 31SB being pulled with a silverado 5.3. it works, but more truck would definately be nice.

I towed my 26 bh with my f150 4.6 trailer similar weight and it wasnt any fun at all!! 6mpg

my 2009 2500hd 6.0l could tow it without the wheels on it love it much more comfortable towing and around 12 mpg towing. try it you will know really soon

Well took new 26 bl home Friday F150 did`nt do to bad. Think it is all I would want to pull though. As I thought wish there was at the very least 3:73 gears in rearend. Is it worth changing gears? Just a thought better than buying another truck.

I would go with 4.10s. 3.73s will be ok but you may wish you had 4.10s. Like I said I have 3.73s and they do fine, I want the 4.10s for my expected hilly trips.

I tow a 26bh with a Nissan Titan and thats got the factory fitted tow package, i have also had a Bullydog GT fitted which has a number of advantages.

Increased power by 34 bhp and i have noticed the rig tundles along in a higher gear and doesnt change down nearly half as much on the hills.

A driving coach which really lets you know how heavy your right foot is.

Transmision temperature gauge.

Speed, rev, throttle, coolant, timing, fuel flow, air flow etc... gauges.

I get 9 mpg towing and 17 mpg bobtail, not sure how much i was getting before but now i get a couple more days between refuels
