I had the opportunity to see the new 2013 Zinger 33BH with the mid-ship island and kitchen slide. Very nice unit, impressive kitchen storage and counter space for a family. The upgrades in recent years on the Zinger show well in person. At the same show I was able to look at this floorplan in the Jayco Jayflight, Keystone Sprinter - each had slight differences and features.

Happy camping everyone! Edited by: mwebber78

I saw a couple at the Tampa show. Also saw a Flagstaff of the same quality.

There were some Rockwood Signature Ultralights (twin to Flagsaff) at the show, no floor plans I like but nice units.

Question -

The new redesigned website doesn't have a link to the brochures (not a link I can find). Anyone know where the link is?

In the options, there is a "Denver Supreme" mattress upgrade. The base mattress is a typical pad with springs. Does anyone know if the "Denver Supreme" is a pillow top? In our Forester, it came with a "Trump Home" by Forest River which is a Serta branded pillow top. The bed is awesome and I want to know if the Crossroads version is really and upgrade. Anyone have pictures?

Also, in the options list there is no slide toppers. I know they can be added after the fact, but generally I prefer the factory to add them if possible. Are slide toppers a "un-listed" option, something CR use to be very famous for?

Thanks in advance!

Mike:

Do a search for "Denver Supreme RV Mattress" and you will find your answer. One is listed on Amazon.

Never thought of looking there as I thought it was a "Crossroads" specific name, looks like a Euro-top foam-core mattress (the write-up on Amazon is actually very descriptive).

Thank you.

Hi Old Farmer

We have narrowed our search to a specific floorplan (bunk house, mid-ship kitchen w/island and slide, front bedroom w/walk-thru bathroom). Currently, only the Jayco Jayflight and Crossroads Zinger have the exact features we are looking for. Forest River has the floorplan rolling out in a few lines but the ones I've looked at (while very nice, especially the Prime Time models) have elements to the floorplan we don't care for.My current rig has been troublefree so it's a bit disappointing that there isn't an option in the FR lineup that works.

Currently, we've spent about a day in the Jayco and a day in the Crossroads. Both were so close in overall Pro's/Con's that I'd love to have a model that blends the two into one!! The Jayco has the edge up in the list for the simple fact that a 2-year warranty is standard and they have a premium package that adds some features that aren't on the Crossroads.

The biggest swing for the Crossroads is that the Jayco seems "dark" inside - the Zinger has windows that open at the slide end, the Jayco doesn't. Also, the primary windows are 25% (orgreater) in overall size. Also, the Zinger has a skylight directly over the center island that adds lots of natural light.

We are in dilema right now - we are ready to order but can't decide

Love our Class C, but I recently accepted a promotion that will keep me tied to shorter vacations and longer hours. A motorhome is intended to travel and move. My intent is to purchase the Zinger and park it on a seasonal, my wife is a teacher and the kids have the summer off so they will get lots of use from it. I could park the motorhome but its tough to justifying using it as a seasonal when a travel trailer is 1/2 the cost. I intend to sell the motorhome and pay cash for the Zinger.

If my 2-cents is worth anything - we were sold on a Jayco 26bh until we saw the Crossroads at the show in 2011.I spent about 2-3 hours dragging my DW from one end to the other comparing. We decided on the Zinger because it was comparable construction, we liked the darker cabinetry, and it was 2K less. We don't regret the purchase!

P.S. My dad even OK'd it - and he was a service rep at the "local" Jayco dealer!

Thanks ew!

Still debating. Getting prices from a few dealers - local dealer (Destinations RV of Maine) has been great to work with, just ensuring we are getting the best price. On the Jayco, RVDirect by far has the best price. I'd like to sell the Class C rather then trade it.

Is Crossroads on a "holiday" or "closed" for a winter shut-down? Sent a request for additional information and I haven't had any feedback from customer service on the questions. I do see the CR team added a brochure for the Zinger but it's about the most generic download I've ever seen (4 pages, mostly pictures of the same floorplan).
