30RE Solar Install

Tomorrow I finally pick up our new 30RE. Are last unit had solar panel on roof and rarely used a generator. I want to install a panel on the 30RE but I see the power panel is under the cupboards on the kitchen side so going down the fridge vent is not going to work. I did some googling but could not find any examples for a Sunset Trail? I also noticed that there is no plumbing vent for the kitchen sink so I can't run the wiring down that way to the converter/charger.

Has anyone install solar on there unit were the fridge is on the opposite side of the power converter/charger? I was hoping not to have to run the wiring all the way to the front of the trailer to the batteries.

Thanks
Richard

Richard, there's nothing wrong with running the wires up to the battery instead of hooking to the converter. That way you will be assured of having the right gauge wire to carry the load. One of the biggest mistakes some make, is not using heavy enough gauge wire to handle the load. Then they wonder why their system isn't putting out the way it should.

After looking at the unit yesterday it does seem pretty simple to come down fridge vent thru bottom and up to the battery. Hardest part will be finding a path thru floor.
Thanks
