A/C Unit

Quick question.....we don't feel our A/C unit is cooling our 250RB the way it should. Currently 88 degrees outside while temp inside is 78 degrees. Thermostat is set at 68. We have the blinds closed. The thermostat was set to 68 earlier in the morning to allow time to keep inside cool. If anything, temp inside has climbed when temp outside climbs. Have not been opening and closing door to allow heat in. This is our first trip, since purchase, and we are trying to make sure if there are issues to address we can take RV to dealer.
Any extra suggestions on helping keep inside cooler will be appropriated.

Take the covers off the AC vents and look in there with a flashlight and a small telescoping swivel mirror. Sounds like the AC run might not be sealed up. Make sure it's taped/sealed to each outlet, and make sure the ends of the runs are sealed on both ends. If that doesn't help or take care of it, you might have to check the AC it's self to see if they installed it correctly. Some times the air box is not sealed.

Open the sliding vent on the unit itself to dump all cold air straight down. If that cools ok , then the option of looking the vents is the answer.

Thanks for the help. I will check both suggestions. My slide vents on the inside are opened all the way.

Lloyd, sorry for the thought, I assume you are referring to checking the AC from the outside? I'm completely new to this.

The first thing to check is what harley said. If you have cold air coming when you dump, then pull the covers off where the cold air is "suppose" to come out of and check in there like I stated previously.

Helps if you have an infrared thermometer to check the temps of the air coming out.
I had to sealed the barrier between the cool air side and the warm air exhaust, as cold air was being sucked straight out the exhaust.

It might be recirculating the warm and cold air together. That was my problem. Here's my post.
