Made it to Dothan without a single issue. The truck pulled our loaded 5er and never hesitated.

Did you guys go through one of those Blue Beacon truck washes to wash the truck and 5ver? Ive always wondered how good they do we only live 20 miles from one and have often thought about running through it. Glad you guys made it safe.

Wow, great looking trailer. I haven't even got my 290BH yet and I have serious 5er envy.

I have one a few miles from my house. I tried it once a couple years ago. I still had black streaks. The pressure actually caused my armada windshield to crack (in fairness I think there may have already been a weak spot in it). I wasn't impressed. This was the truck wash at the haw river exit off 40 in nc. If you do use them tell them to stay off the caulking with the pressure washer or you will find yourself needing to recaulk the whole trailer.

We sure did! For both the truck and camper was $41.50. Not bad considering the amount of salt and road grime that was on both of them. The manager there says he sees RV's all the time going through. We actually had them use the "Rain-X" coating too.

Now we have the 5er all tucked away in a 15' x 50' storage.

I too have used the Blue beacon - one here in Dallas on I-20 -
well worth it IMHO since I've not washed ANY vehicle other than my Lawn tractor in 10+ years

On my previous rv's didn't have full body paint and
so I just told them to be careful around the decals...
the mgr said, don't worry, we've done a LOT of rv's and are careful -
He also whispered "you wouldn't believe how particular some of these truckers are about their dump trucks and the like"

Still, a cautionary warning is not a bad thing !
one thing I ask them to stay away from with the high pressure is the electronic door lock/handle and the seams...
Again, he said they use brushes around the 'sensitive' areas...

here's a pic I took of one of our previous rigs after going through once - no problems with any of them so far... in fact, the current rig is in dire need of a wash !

Just might have to give them a shot sometime when on the way home from camping at the races all weekend.
