Just wanted to pass along my easy audio upgrade project. If you are an audiophile, then you know that the sound system that comes in most any trailer isbarely adequate and far from enjoyable.I couldn't take it anymore and started looking for an easy solution that A.)wouldn't require any major modification B.)wouldn't be intrusiveC.)would work with the systemwhether TV, radio, CD,DVD, etc., and D.)would not cost a fortune.

What I came up with was the Boston Acoustics Soundware XS Digital Cinema primarily because of the compact size and connection flexibility. The cheapest price I found was actually direct from BA for $299. It is composed of an 8" subwoofer and 2 small satellite speakers that give mounting flexibility. It has it's own remote and is Bluetooth capable for wireless streaming from a tablet, phone, or other (obviously as a standalone feature). Most importantly, the sub is compact enough to fit in the bottom of thecabinet on the left side of the fireplace/entertainment center. The speakers each sit in the cubbies below the TV.I used a line level convertor (speaker to RCA)andconnected to the unused"C" channel speaker wires on the Jensen AWM965. This gives the option to use it as it's own zone. The system has it's own volume control which works great to balance it with the "A" channel speakers when you arelisteningto both.

Installation took a couple hours but was very easy. I removed the fireplace (6 screws) and the Jensen radio. At the factory, they had alreadyinstalled somewire chase holes that you can use. You will have to drill a few of your own. Power for the sub was obtained bychasing an extension cord up the rounded cornercavity on the right side of the entertainment center and plugging in to the outlet by the TV. Tidy up the wires and everything is pretty much hidden behind the fireplace.

Sounds great! I'd post a couple pictures but I'm not sure how. I don't have an account with any photo services.
