Awning LED lights

We have a 2014 RE30 Sunset Trail reserve and in March had Camping World replace the LED lights under warrant on our Awning and the next trip out about 12 are either completely out or very dim, anything I can do to replace easily or do I have to replace the complete strip? Go figure the warranty is out now.

Buy off amazon and put below awning on wall,, can be lit without having the awning out.

Bad placement of the awning lights....If you think about it...Being placed on the awning tube when the awning is rolled up and it rains the LED's are saturated, just as if you threw them into a puddle of water...Should have been placed on the exterior wall just under the awning...At least they would have had some chance of drying out that way...IMHO

Awning LED lighting

Both awnings on my 2014, 32RL had issues from day 1. I replaced them with RGB waterproof LED's. I butyl sealed each end to help the saturation that occurs when the awning is rolled in. I also added RGBW strips below the awnings for additional lighting and for the obvious convenience of not have to roll out the awning. I installed waterproof RF remote controllers on each strip and tuned them to around 144Hz. Now I can change the colors and brightness without leaving my chair. Total price in materials was around $150 from Amazon.

I apologize if this is the wrong forum to ask this question, I have a brand new sunset trail 26RB, when I extend the awning there are no lights, is there a switch that turns on the awning lights??

Unless I misunderstand what you are asking...If you have NO LED awning lights there would be no need for an on/off switch...

Should be on the main panel near the door. Were they working upon original inspection? if so , then maybe a connector came off behind the panel , or the wire got pinched between the trailer wall and awning.

I do not own a Sunset Trail, but I can say on the Cruiser I own it is NOT in the main panel with the slide switches and some of the other light switches...The on/off switch for the awning lights is mounted on the wall next to the entry door...In fact many of us Cruiser owners had a hard time trying to figure out what the switch operated in the first few weeks of ownership due to the fact that it was NOT next to the switch that operated the awning, and when toggled back and forth it did not seem to operate anything...We had to do the same thing you did and ask on this forum to find out the switch was for the awning lights...

Ours didn't work but it was a fuse, but then only 1/2 worked so we had to have them replaced. The dealer and crossroads were great, they even replaced my disappearing gas connector under the rear bumper under warranty. Very happy with our unit.

Meadow, We have the same unit, if yours is a 2016. I can't tell by your signature. The switch should be in the main panel above the fireplace. It just says "lights" above it, just like two others. Ours is next to the one that is labeled "porch". Whatever you do, don't leave the switch on when the awning is closed. It will discolor the awning, mleaving a streak.

You will find that the LED lights on the awning are not of a good quality, Mine have been replaced twice. If they go again, I will buy a set that mounts on the wall under the awning.
