I have a 2013 ST31BH and I have two questions for you all.
1.) Where do you store the number BBQ?

2.) On the outdoor fridge it had a sticker on the side that said....

Refer must_________
While_____________

Someone pealed the sticker and I have no idea what it said. It could be important.

1. I store my BBQ in the outdoor kitchen when we are set up. For traveling, I make sure its clean and store it in the front Cave (storage)

2. Refer must be strapped in at all times while in motion.
(This is what my sticker says)

Thanks Duey. Do you ever travel with the outside fridge loaded?

Yes we do travel with it loaded. Just make sure you organize your load so it don't move around inside the fridge and keep it strapped. It works great.

Thanks. We're just taking a four or five hour trip to Disney so I figured everything would stay fairly cold. I just have some drinks and burgers. Obviously the glass beer bottles will have to go in a cooler for safe keeping.

Our SF32RL has the small "dorm" size 110Vac Refer in outside kitchen.
Has anyone hooked up & tried running it on a inverter while going down the road or dry / remote parking?

We usually turn the fridges on 1 or 2 days before leaving. Load up the day you leave so the fridges are cold by then. Even the freezer stays cold long enough. When you get to your destination, plug everything in and the fridges are still cold. We find that the small fridge in the rear outdoor kitchen gets colder faster then the main fridge inside.

The one thing im not sure of and I haven't checked was to see if the small fridge can stay one while traveling. The larger one inside doesn't, or not suppose to.

Get a banana box or some box about the size of the bbq and line it with newspaper to store bbq then fold a towel and place the bbq in the rear kitch next to the fridge or on the sink. works great for me.

I like the banana box idea.
Duey the outside fridge is 120 v so it doesn't run during travel. The inside one is dual power gas and 120 v so it will run during the trip.

I store my grill in the basement when traveling. I keep it on some boards to avoid scratches.

Ditto on Duey's strategy of running them a day or so to get them cold before departure. The state law here requires a man to have a cold beer in hand while setting up camp. The outside fridge allows me to easily comply with those requirements.Edited by: TrainSafe

How much does the rear frige draw? Could you run it with a protable inverter? Of course you would have to bring DC back from the battery/trailer connector, but it might be possible.

It is possible. I'm working on the logistics. It needs to be fused coming from the battery, and etc . I'll post it when I get it all worked out. But not this trip.

You would be better off putting the inverter right at the battery and running the 120v to the fridge. The 12v wires would have to be substantial to keep the voltage drop to a minimum. Easier to run Romex back and install an outlet box.

Cliff is right. All inverters are situated close to the batteries, then the AC takes off from there.

Better then my Idea of getting 12Vdc f/ back offactory rectifer behindfuse box.
Would've been 5-6' run, BUT still 12'+ of factory wiring to drop amps from Battery(s). . .
SO, its Inverter in batery compartment w/ ac wires/cord thru "underbelly" to outside refer. . .
Stll need to research Refers wattage needs (start-up not running amps) & inverter peak/constantlosses

I know some of the Thor motor coaches that have 120v fridges, have a 1200 watt inverter.
