Just got the trailer back from dealer after replacing cracked shower light. Now while out on our vacation noticed that the black water tank sensors are not working. The control panel shows "empty" all the time even if fill the black tank right to the brim.
The Grey tank works just fine.
The Black tank has worked in the past up until now.
Anyone else experience this? My guess is a loose wire connection somewhere, anyone suggest where to start looking? Trying to avoid another hour drive back to the dealership for warranty work.

Thanks

Might have some TP hung up on it. Fill 1/4 way with water or even use the geo http://sites.google.com/site/cbruni/ method to clean tank. Drive to next campground with stuff in tank. Sloshing helps. Some even put ice in tank to clean then drive.

If the tank lights work for all but one, I agree it probably is a loose wire. I had the same issue and pulled the monitor panel off it's wall mount. I did not find a loose wire but upon re-installing it, it worked and has ever since. Never did find the loose wire!

X2 on Marks post. Al the best advice. Check out that link (</span>http://sites.google.com/site/cbruni/courtesay ofMark
If loose wire is not the solution flusing the BW tank is recommended. You probably do' you must overdue it. Check to make sure your TP is designed to break down .

Thanks for the tips,
I do only use TP meant for RV tanks and quick dissolve.
Plus I thoughoutly clean out the tank, including driving, and using the flush kit, even filling and empting the tank 4 or 5 times with no result. I am fairly certian it is a wiring issue, usually if it is TP or a sensor issue it will be stuck at 1\3 full or something not empty? I can try taking the sensor panel out and see if get reading back, any other suggestions for troubleshooting the wiring?

I have switched to the GEO method and afetr a few trips have not had a sensor issue since. The GEO method is cheaper and in my opnion works verywell.

Dadgum, my DW has been complaining about the odor in our bathroom lately. I'm gonna try that GEO method too!

I really like the fact that it is simple and does not involve harsh chems. If you stop to think about it , it is such a common sense approach. These are not septic systems they are holding tanks.
Geo method prevents buildup on walls of tanks if properly followed and can help to eliminate sensor problems. Happy I discovered it.

Not discounting the geo method. Think it makes perfect sense. Just does not resolve the fact tha all my sensors are not working on the trailer being stuck at empty. Guess I am taking the trailer back in for warranty work to find the bad connection or ground problem, whatever has caused the failure. btw for all the geo users do u carry around a jug of bleach a box of water softner and box of laundry soap on every trip? my storage in my bathroom is tight as it is lol...

Depends on length of trip. Yes most of us do its not a big deal. It appears your problem runs deeper and when it gets resolved reconsider GEO Best of luck.

Just finished second trip with our new 290QB and noticed the sensors not wiring properly. The fresh tall said half full (never been used), and the black & gray were reading full at end of first day. By end of second day the black started reading half full, but the gray still said full even after dumping. I'll try to pull panel and see if f that the problem. Currently using a citrus tank solution, but may try the GEO method next trip.

As suspected, ground wire came disconnected causing the black tank to read empty all the time. Dealer found and re connected the ground and now I am back in service.
