I don't know about the 2014, but most of the 2013 had a bad pigment in the gel coat that caused the fading according to guy I talked to at Crossroads. It was bad and caused a lot of grief, since we live in West Texas and trip to dealers was 2.5 hours one way.. Crossroads and dealer made good with new paint job and decals. Looks great and is holding. Hope your 2014 does not go through the same thing.
Gelcoat (or any painted plastic) will fade over time from sunlight. Boaters have been dealing with this for decades. Hopefully CR has improved their Gelcoat so it lasts longer that it has in the past but eventually it WILL fade.
No argument about eventual fade, however, five months is rather quick and it is not just a fade, the brown turns a chocolate light! The contrast is alarming and very noticeable. Crossroads did admit that there was a sever problem with the brown gel coats and were taking the necessary steps to correct. There repaint was getting costly. I would hope that the 2014's are corrected.

No question the quality of the Gelcoat used was inferior...mine faded after the first summer too. But even the very best will turn chalky after a few years without proper maintenance.
There is a product that you can use on gel coat to bring back the color. It is called VIVILON EZ FOREVERNU ™ Clear Top Coat. I never used it but it is a product you can use yourself with going to an Autobody shop. It's not cheap, but a lot less than a new paint job.
