Crack in Rain Gutter

Packing up our 2016 250RB to head south in a steady rain today and noticed my first warranty issue - a crack in the rain gutter on the passenger door. Of course it's right above the entry door to the rig!

I am thinking this had to be caused by some type of flexing which has me worried.

Has anyone else experienced this or have any thoughts on the cause?

One thing that makes me laugh is that whether you are tent camping or RV camping - it always seems to rain either when you are heading out or packing up to head home. Would match rather deal with it in the RV though!

I believe the crack is where they join the sections. They use leftover pieces. Mine has a seam that leaks down the kitchen window. I have not had much sucess sealing it.

It is not a crack , it is where the 2 pieces of gutter are joined. Crossroads employees (along with other companies) install them from the rear forward not taking into account where he joint will be. If it was installed from the front toward the back ,the leak would be somewhere oblivious.
Christian ,are you listening .? Have the guys install where the seam will not be over the door,I know different models have different door locations, but common sense should out do getting done early and going home early and producing a problem that should not be there
Scott , get a candle and rub the underside of the gutter with it for a temporary fix until you can put some caulk into the inside.

Scott , the wax works even when raining , did it when mine leaked first trip . and have done the wax thing on an awning that had a pin hole...

Same problem here. Mine drips right down over the 110V outlet on the side. My dealer told me that the manufacturer isn't able to get 30ft lengths so they have to join them somewhere. I haven't had much luck with caulking so I will try the wax thing.

It sure looks like a crack on further examination...rough edges and the edge is bent which leaves a gap between the awning and the gutter...the wax didn't work unfortunately...a piece of black gorilla grip seems to have done the job for now and us pretty much invisible.
