We just purchased a 2013 sunset trail reserve 26rb. There are two emergency exit windows. One on the couch/dinnette slide and one in the bedroom. The one on the slide has slide to open the window without activating the emergency window. The one in the bedroom has a red handle that you would swing out and push to remove the window. I don't see any other slides or way to open the window. I would like to be able to open the window for a breeze, but don't want it to drop out. I contacted crossroads and they said I should be able to open the window for a breeze. I guess I would like to be reassured by other owners before I try it.

If the window has an inside screen, then opening the window will be fine. My guess is the bottom latch design allows the window to be propped open. The glass will not fall out, there is a continuous hinge at the top and the only way to remove the glass is to open the window and slide it sideways the full length of the hinge.

It will not fall out. Use mine for ventilation without problems.

There is a screen so I will definitely try opening the window without worry.
