Has anyone else had a problem with the exterior lights (mine are by the shower and on the front of the trailer) "not working so well"? Lately, mine do not want to turn on unless you get really "agressive" with the switch- and even then you can't rely on them working when you need them to. I looked inside the housing- no visible moisture (and I did the idiot check to make sure the bulbs were good). I thought about douching the connectionswith WD40 or something, but I doubt that would do any good. Any solutions out there?
Go ahead and spray the switch with WD-40. I had the same problem with mine on the front, it never really worked properly since day 1. I took the light completely off to see if I could just replace the switch but thought I'd give it a good spray with WD-40 and toggled the switch off/on several times and now works flawlessly. They sometimesjust get some corrosion built up and I've found that WD-40 works best for this. Don't use a co-contact cleaner as somewill melt plastic. Just wipe the overspray off the trailer to avoid dust and dirt sticking to it.
Had a light out by the outside shower. Of course, I thoughtit was a burned out bulb. Replaced bulb, no light. Then read this post today, applied WD-40, light works. Amazing!
Justtgot My 2010 sunset Trail(brand New) and My lite on the front by hitch doesn't work! Thought maybe there is a switch other then the one on the light that I haven't found yet? Thought maybe the inside switch that controls the light under My steps had to be on! not so,Does anyone know if there is a switch other then the switch on the light?so!
Ours stopped working after the second or third time we took it out on the road. The Crossroads dealer we use for warranty service replaced the entire fixture.
