First Camping Trip of the Season

We are going camping this weekend. Here in Kansas, it's supposed to be sunny and in the mid-sixties. We are going to dry camp and use the campground facilities as we are still a little afraid to de-winterize. We could still have some freezing temps all the way up until the end of April. We are so excited to finally get out in the new unit! We will forego taking the boat as it will still be chilly out on the water. At least we can sit by the campfire and do some hiking.

You have a good time in that new camper. Is this the maiden voyage?

I am going camping this weekend also I think it is only going to be in the fifties but better than it is tonight, teens and wind a howling!
I have her plugged in and fridge loaded. I will have to re-winterize but it is so much easier than my old camper and it does not cost that much. Just take a few notes and it will be a breeze from now on
Gonna be a fun weekend!!!

Rich/Jill...as an Ohioan with this rollercoaster weather...I speak for many in jealousy with a friendly "bite me".

Sunny and mid-sixties! Low tonight is 7 degrees!

I will try to remember. I will tell him you sent me. He might not thank you later.

Enjoy your weekend. Mine is still awaiting an estimate on storm damage from 2-20-14. If it is this long getting an estimate, I don't even want to think about how long the repairs will take.

Enjoy..meanwhile here in NE Ohio we're dealing with freezing rain, couple inches of snow, power outages, and add 40 mph winds ...not taking the trailer out for awhile.

We have actually slept in one night the day we picked it up. I would classify this as her maiden voyage.

We had a wonderful time for our first camping trip of the season. The weather was awesome until Sunday morning. We were nice and toasty in the camper but had to be outside to pack up and leave. There was a nasty north wind and it was right around 30. Burr. We enjoyed being outdoors Thurs., Fri. and Sat. We saw follicly challenged eagles (got to be pc), pelican, deer, pheasant, woodpeckers and heard coyote and owls. We discovered a lot of things about our new camper we like. We didn't know there were LED lights on the awning until we ran it out. We had our two granddaughters and two great grandchildren come out to the lake. We were pleasantly pleased with the foldout sofa bed and the dinnette bed. They were both roomy and comfortable.
