Ok I have had many people tell me different ways to hitch up to the truck, how do any of you hitch up. We lower our trailer onto the ball until the truck starts to lower, then we lock the ball lock and attach the bars and chains. How do any of you do it? Was justcurious.

1. Lower the hitch onto the ball
2. Lock the coupler
3. Crank the jack back up to raise the rear of the truck

4. Snap the bars up w/ the chains.
5. Lower the trailer (raise the foot).
6. Plug in lights
7. Hook up break away chains and emergency brake cable
8 pull chocks
9 check lights and mirrors
10 pull away

Ditto - but don't raise it too much. Makes it effort-free to install WD bars.

NOTE: This also makes it SAFER when removing bars as the tension is removed.

I think it varies greatly with the TV. My truck barely moves (squats) when I hook up so re-raising the tongue would not gain me much. Not too much tension to deal with when hooking up the sway bars. I just lower on, release the latch, put the pin in, install the SB's and all the chains, etc.... and drive away.

Andreah,
Have a good time at Frankenmuth, I was there last month. I would tell you to say "hi" to my son if you go to Birch Run (he manages a Nike store there) but he will be coming home to WI on Thursday for a wedding this weekend. DW and I are thinking of heading over that way again in September, just to see his new home and the area he lives in. I did checkout a few campgrounds in that area while I was there

Thanks! We are having a 50th wedding anniversary for my aunt and uncle, we are staying at the Jelly Stone Campground, sounds like a nice place, but never stayed there before.
