DW saw the stick on levels on Amazon.
Being a woman of few words, she said "ugly".

I use a 4 foot level on the floor to get side to side before unhooking. Then unhook and get front to back. These big trailers are way more forgiving on level than my old popup. Failure to level it meant the door wouldn't close correctly once installed. No fun.

My stupid question for the day, I get it level side to side and then front to back like the instructions say to do. Then I move the slide out and everything is still level, but by the end of our camping trip (3 days) the slide side is low about 1" and seems to sink if you will as time goes on. Is this normal? Should I put side with the slide out up about an 1", so when it settles it will be level?
Still learning so any info is greatly appreciated.

If that is what you are experiencing, it certainly won't hurt anything to give it a try.

Would a slide support be a better way to go in this instance?
(Not measured my slides deflection after a few days. Will now.)

They don't recommend supports under the slide.
If something would happen that caused the trailer to drastically settle on that side, it would/could cause a lot of damage.

I do recall being told that we should bring the slides in every few days, then run them back out.
Sound familiar to anyone else?

I don't ever remember hearing that.
Was it stated what the purpose of that would be?

Slides supports are like the king pin braces for FWs. Some folks love them and some hate them. I never used the slide support. My king pin support is safely tucked behind the wheels of our FW because I just haven't given or thrown it away yet.
As for operating the slides, I cycle mine about every three months when I lubricate the slide gear and the seals. One time in and one time out.

I have a couple of comments on the slide-out. Pg 20 of my owners manual states that "for extended stays it is advisable to add support blocks under the slide".
Pg 48 says" for extended stays move the room in and out once or twice a week to help keep the seals and internal parts lubricated".
I use the supports but don't move the slide in/out during our five month stay.

I'm set up on a concrete slab and have four jacks on each side supporting the frame, it shouldn't settle with a soft tire. The slide supports are just snugged up to eliminate stress when we sit on the slide sofa.

Does it sound like I have an issue?

I wouldn't put supports under the slide until it stops settling.

IMHO, I would never put slide supports
but to each his own (SO FAR, we can still do what we want to our own 'stuff' !)

My concern is for the long term when there are 5-6 adults sitting in the slide, that is a lot of unsupported weight.

The slide shouldn't be settling on it's own, probably the entire unit is settling.

I'll chime in here:
1.) You should level before opening slide. Use floor, stove, or whatever and it should be reasonably close for the fridge. The fridge should be level, but it is somewhat forgiving. Slides are VERY important - mine noticably struggled to open with unlevel camper in driveway.
2.) I have heard bad things like "void warranty" with slide supports. These things are built to be used. Running in/out may help keep seals from sticking, but ours stays open 6 months at a time with no issue. I just make sure it is level and seals get maintained.
Hope this is a worthy contribution!
