Light Switches on st250rb

Sunset Trail Super Lite st250rb

I have 4 light switches on my panel.

One is marked porch light and operates the porch light.

One turns on the bedroom light.

One turns on the living area lights.

And then there is one I can't find a purpose for.

The bathroom has it's own switch on the wall. The lights over dinette and couch in the slide seem to operate simply by the toggles on the lights as does the one over the sink and the reading light over the bed.

Does the mystery switch have a purpose I can't figure out or is it just an extra?

It might also go to an outlet by the outside awning for awning lights.

Or do you have a scare light on the front side of the rv?

I turned the switch on and walked around the outside with the awning in and could find no lights on.

Did you look for an outside outlet near the awning? Can you post a pic of the control panel with the switches?

There is an outlet for the outside tv under the awning. I can't post any pics as I'm home for the weekend and the trailer is 130 miles away right now.

I wish the owners manual was less generic, it's almost useless. The one for my jayco is the same way.

There is a main switch for the two scare lights on our rig, but there is also individual switches for each side. Main has to be on before either scare will work.
If it's for the outlet under the awning, plug something in there and try it in the on and off position on the switch in question.

Do you have these?
  • Fiberglass front cap with 10 LED lights

Where do they turn on?

I'll look Monday when I get back to the trailer but I remember no lights like that. I have led all across the front for hooking up in the dark.

Yes.

There's a switch inside the front storage compartment. Dealer showed it to me for hooking up in the dark.

Not sure how many lights actually but they're all across the front of the trailer.

I just looked at your trailer. I didn't see any scare lights like mine.
That would be to old fashioned.

My fourth switch is for the awning light, but you can only see it when the awning is out. I've heard of people turning it on and leaving it on while the awning is closed and it damages the awning by leaving a streak of some sort.

That makes sense. I couldn't have ever seen it since I've never had the awning out.
I'll let the awning out when I get back there tomorrow and see.

Thanks.

Pretty sure its your awning LED light strip. I also have that fourth "unlabeled" switch and it is for the awning light. My blue LED light strip is controlled by a switch in the storage compartment (driver's side). It's amazing how many drunk people that blue light attracts...almost like a bug zapper!

how about the lights that are on the awning itself? There is a strip along the end of the awning - the part that is not connected to the trailer. that's what are fourth switch controls...
