Lighting in 25RB

Been seeing more and more threads about LED lights. The bulbs that are in the 25RB pretty much look the same.

What kind of LED bulbs can be used to replace all the bulbs in the 25RB. Where can they get purchased in Canada.

Hi Duey, most of the bulbs are the same throughout our unit with the exception of the "decorative" light over the table and the wall sconce. The flat ones use the same bulb. You should pull the bulbs to double check so you don't waste your money.

Good luck.

Duey,

Just did what you are doing this last year. On my unit all the lights are the same except for the fancy ones over the TV.
All the LED I ordered were on eBay from China but they have worked fine so far and other forums have no issues with them.
I found as long as the plug in base is the same most will work just fine.

Good luck

Ian

Good luck, Duey, but I doubt your dealer is going to be very helpful with LEDs. From what we have seen, they do not sell them in their stores. If you do a web search you will find an abundance of information about LEDs for RVs. Also, there is a thread on this forum that you might find helpful.

Duey, you will probably have to order them through ebay or another website. Or if you can not order to Canada, perhaps a friend in the US can get them for you. Good luck.

Duey these are the ones I used in the overhead lights my unit and they are plenty bright
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/320784783686?...84.m1423.l2649

I used these ones in the scone light in the slide and the overhead lights in the slide
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/180938954087?...84.m1423.l2649

They are plenty bright and a lot of people are using them in the Forest River forums with no issues.

Price can't be beat and if you don't like them your only out 30 bucks and they free ship to Canada

Hope this helps

Ian

I ordered these replacements for the 921 wedge base bulbs on eBay from this vendor - http://www.ebay.com/usr/2011_led

For the ceiling lights:
10pcs T10 194 168 921 Bulb Lamp 9-5050 SMD LED Light,Warm White #Y

For the fixtures over the bed, sofa and bunks:
10x T10 194 168 921 W5W Bulb Lamp 6-5050 SMD LED,Warm White Y

I placed my order on Friday and a have confirmation tracking no. that they are on their way.
Based upon many conversations on this forum and others, I found that the Warm White would be better for our needs and that it should be close to the bulbs we currently use. Also, I ordered the flat style because all of the LEDs will be facing downward anyway. We have a wall sconce and dinette fixture that require the 1056 bayonet-style bulb but I have not found a product that is reasonable since we require three.

Since we plan on dry camping at times, we want to save on our battery. And the heat from the halogens is too much.

Good luck.
