Locking Bars for Slideouts

We are looking at the ST26RB. On our old trailer we had locking bars to hold the slides in during travel - do the Sunset Trails have locking bars?

From the floor plan it looks like with both slides pulled in, there is no way to get to the bathroom or refrigerator. Is that correct ?

One salesperson suggested that the kitchen slide could just be pulled out enough to allow access...but that's not as easy as it sounds if there are locking bars.

Thanks for your help!

FYI, when you use your slide, it should be fully extended and then retracted. Otherwise, you could put a wrinkle in the seal(s). JMHO from what I have read.

We have a 2012 ST 30RK and does not have any locking bars. With a push of a button, the slide can go in or out. We can't get to the refrig when our slide is in. We have put it out at rest stops if it is necessary to get something out of the refrigerator.

Thanks DonCon for the answer...and Boderrving for the advice

DonCon - Do you find putting out the slide to be a hassle? Can you use the remote from inside your tow vehicle? (if it is raining)

Putting out the slide is no problem. It is as simple as putting out the awning. Honestly have never used the remote so not sure if it works from inside the truck.

I am not sure how old your previous trailer was, but travel lock bars for slideouts is pretty much a thing of the past. I wasn't sure if we would have straps or anything for ours, but it seems none of them do anymore.

There are no straps or locking devices. It will take all of 5 sec to open the slide 6 inches or so to access what you need then close it back up. It will not harm anything in doing this. Just don't go into the slideout unless it's fully extended.

What year is your trailer? I believe 2012 was the last year for the remotes. The remote can control the awning, slide and I believe the jacks.

I have the remote for 2013 25RB. Controls the awning, slide, jacks, and porch light or scare light as some call it. Nice feature.

I also have a remote , mine was built mid july 2012. think they stopped putting them in later in the fall because of many warranty claims. You need a strong battery in them . dollar store batts don't cut it.
