My point was why spend $70+ on a electronic device that All you have to do is check the changeover valve. But that said if someone wants one buy one. They seem to have good reviews on line.

Agree,

I work in technology. When I camp I want to get as far away from relying on it as possible. However, I'm a sucker for gadgets too!

Just a few thoughts here:
1. Bluetooth is still a brittle technology to be using for a "set and forget" monitoring system. And you have yet another gadget running on button batteries. A hard wired system would seem more resilient, but thats the engineer side of me talking.

2. According to the manufacturer, the accuracy of this system is affected by temperature.

3. This video review reveals this system doesn't work well on tanks other than #20.

4. $100 can buy at least two filled #20 backup spare tanks. Just sayin'

5. And lastly, how often are you running out of propane? I camp in NE Ohio early spring to late fall and count on on 1 finger how many times I've come close to running out of propane.

The only real value proposition for me would be if you have a park model that sits somewhere and has HVAC running constantly, otherwise I don't see the critical need for constant monitoring.
