hello to all! we own a 2012 29ss, and on our second week out camping with it have had smell of grey water (as our daughter says, "eww that stinks".. )coming from under the kitchen sink -I looked, and there is not a vent to outside, but an inlet valve.. I tightened it up and 2 days later had to do it again.. anyone had this happen and did you have to replace the inlet valve? or just keep tightening?
I don't know what an inlet valve is but it may be an air vent . This lets air in the same as a regular vent but is not suspost to let gas out. They do mess up and need to be replaced.
I have the same "yuk" odor coming from the cabinet under my sink. It was especially bad when we were camping in this 100+ degreeheat. I would be interested to know of any fix you come up with.
You are probably referring to the Studor vent. Black ABS about the shape of a soup can? As CWIT said, they allow air in to help the water in the drain flow better and seal so gases don't escape. Sometimes the spring inside corrodes and they stick. They unscrew and are sold at HD or Lowes for about $3-4.
