We just purchased a new to us 2012 Reserve 29RL and I would like to upgrade my outside grilling options. My question is does anyone have the specs on the bumper mount grill for this unit.

I would like to have someone fabricate a mounting bracket which would allow me to mount a camp chef gas stove instead. the stove would potentially weigh 80lbs and not sure if the bumper mount is rated for that?

Thanks for any help :-)

People use bumper-mounted bike racks without issue.

My thoughts would be it is OK when camped, but I wouldn't have it mounted to bumper when traveling.

My 2013 29rl came equipped with a Side Kick Grill , rv 500.

The grill is removable and the mounting bracket may be adjusted for table top use.

The owner's manual gives customer service # 1 888 226 9850.

Very hefty mount don't think you will have any issues.

My thought is to use this only while camping. When we would break camp, the grill packs into it's own storage bags and would stow away inside the camper. The grill is part of a modular system that lets you swap out pieces as your needs change, so I could setup the basic grill box, switch out to a double size griddle, or I just purchased their new pizza oven that sits on top. The total weight of stove and modular pieces should not exceed 80 - 90 lbs

Here's a link to the model I have

Thanks again for everyone's input so far

I have a camp chef. Personally I think it would be better to use the legs it came with then mounting it off the bumper. To be honest with you once I bought my new TT I don't even use it anymore. I grill with the bumper grill it came with and I bought an electric griddle at Walmart. It reduced a lot of the weight and extra stuff to carry. It was a tough decision considering how much I paid for it.

Are the grills that come with the TT's, supposed to fit onto the mounting bracket when you close up the bracket? Mine only fits when the bracket is opened up and sticking out from the back end of the trailer, so I have to store my BBQ every time. I see other brands of trailers and theirs just mount on the back for travel.

Yes, you need to purchase a storage case or use a tub with lockable top like most.
